LATEST NEWS: Wildwood Catholic High School basketball player remains hospitalized after hitting head during game

NORTH WILDWOOD – A Wildwood Catholic High School basketball player, injured during a Monday night game, remained at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, Tuesday afternoon where he was listed in good condition.

Principal Richard Turco said sophomore Zachary DeWeese was taken to the hospital Monday after he hit his head during a basketball game against Bridgeton.

The boy was airlifted to AtlantiCare where he was kept for observation.

“With any head injury, it’s better to take extra precautions,” Turco said. More
